The Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP) announced modifications to temporary exemptions for F1 students taking online courses while remaining in the U.S. due to COVID-19 for fall quarter 2020.

WWU has adopted a hybrid model for fall quarter, which allows students to continue studying in the U.S.  ISSS staff have sent emails to all F1 visa students with updates on how to stay in status.  You may review International Student FAQs here.  Please email ISSS with any additional concerns or questions.

WWU administration, faculty and staff are here to support you.  We are working to help students meet requirements to stay in status, while staying safe and protecting their ability to continue their studies.  Please see the message of support from the Provost's Office.
